Thanks to my friend Lisa for pointing out this was not working. I completely forgot to set it up! You can now receive e-mail updates from my blog via a subscription link. It's off to the right of the page, just below the 'about me' section.
Reportedly Blogger's e-mail updates aren't always reliable but at least you can still be subscribed if you choose.
