Rite Aid

Rite Aid has an official corporate coupon acceptance policy here.

Rite Aid's reward program is called Wellness+ and the coupons that print are called +UP. In order to get sale prices and earn +UP you must have a Wellness+ card. The card is free and you can sign up in your local store. The Wellness+ program gives you 10% off all Rite Aid brand products every day. When you earn 500 points (points are calculated by dollars spent) you will be at the silver level and will receive 10% off your store purchases. Gold is 1000 points and gives you 20% off store purchases. Please keep in mind you will get your discount or the sale price of the item; whichever is better. Example using the 20% discount of Gold level:

If you buy a $1 item that's on sale for 30% off, you would not get your discount because the sale price is better than your 20% discount.

If you buy a $1 item that's on sale for 10% off, you would get your discount because 20% is a better deal than the sale price.

Rite Aid's policy is to allow coupons for more than the item's selling price so long as the coupons are adjusted down to the selling price of the item. They are not supposed to refuse these coupons outright.

+UP print at the end of your receipt and are store coupons which can be used on anything in the store (except prohibited items like alcohol and tobacco). The limits for most of the +UP earning deals are posted in the weekly ad or on the shelf tags. +UPs do 'roll', which means you can use the +UP you received for buying toothpaste to buy another one and still get another reward as long as the limit is more than 1.

Rite Aid also has a program called Single Check Rebates (frequently abbreviated as SCR here). Every month they publish a rebate guide (found in stores near the weekly ads). Some rebates are month-long and others are only valid for a week or a few days. You need to purchase exactly the size/flavor/ounces published in the rebate guide in order for the rebate to be honored. Most rebates are a limit of 1 but some have a higher limit. You can submit your rebates either by mail or online. The rebates do come much more quickly if you submit them online.

At Rite Aid you can use a store coupon with a manufacturer coupon. Rite Aid coupons begin with either a RC48 or RC49 on the barcode. You may use 1 manufacturer coupon, 1 RC48 and 1 RC49 per item. Rite Aid also has their own set of store coupons each month called Video Values (frequently abbreviated as VV here). In order to obtain these, you'll need to go to the Video Values site and watch a short video about the item you want to print a coupon for. When that's over, you'll be prompted to enter a security code in order to print the coupon. These are only available for a month; you'll have access to them for one month after watching. However, if you don't watch the video you won't have access to that coupon the following month. I recommend taking the time to watch each video because you never know what you'll need the following month.
