Thank You!

I just wanted to let you know that this will be my last post here on Super Saver Sarah. When I began this blog two years ago I had two tiny babies and a preschooler. I had lots of downtime while the babies slept and the preschooler was at school.

However, almost two years later I now have two busy and active 2 year olds and a 1st grader. I believe in doing everything 100% and unfortunately I'm not able to do that with this blog right now. My kids are literally growing before my eyes and I often feel torn when I'm busy with them because I should be working here. Deal-seeking is a great hobby, but my life is really with my children and my husband.

With that being said, I've enjoyed doing this the last two years and I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for reading.

What Can We Do This Weekend?

Lowe's  has a Halloween monster truck craft. This is from 10 AM to 11 AM. Kids will receive an apron, goggles, a pin and a certificate of completion. Advance registration is not required but is recommended.

Toys R Us has a Sesame Street event from 11 AM to 1 PM. This is only at participating stores. There's also a Beyblade tournament from 2-4 but again, only at selected stores.

Babies R Us has a Boppy event from 12-3 PM.
Disney Store has a Halloween dress rehearsal at 10:30 and noon. Kids that come in costume will receive a prize. This is for ages 3+.

Bass Pro Shops has a Halloween event the next two weekends. There are several things to do. You can check the schedule for your local store at the link I posted.

Michaels has a t-shirt event Saturday from 10 AM to noon. This event is with the purchase of a t-shirt.
Walmart has an event finder on their website so you can check out what's happening in your local area.

Borders also has an event finder on their website, as does Barnes & Noble.

Anyone have anything I missed?

Sunday Coupon Preview

We'll be getting one insert this weekend: a SmartSource & a RedPlum. You can preview it here by going to 'coupon resources' and then 'coupon previews'.

Remember that your area won't receive all the coupons in the previews nor will the values be the same. It's just a good resource to help plan your shopping or to match up with sales. Also it helps to know if you want to try to locate coupons you did not receive from a clipper or another source.

Mega Swagbucks Friday

Search & Win

On Fridays, Swagbucks likes to give away lots of extra Swagbucks!

If you're not familiar with Swagbucks, it's basically a website/search engine. When you use it, you are rewarded with digital dollars, which you can then redeem for gift cards, music downloads and other prizes. It's very easy to use and the points do add up quickly, especially if you use their search engine instead of Google or Yahoo. They also have a toolbar you can download that will randomly add Swagbucks into your account for searching and sometimes just for doing nothing! They also take electronics for recycling that will earn points for your account and they offer point-earning surveys, special offers and other things that will accumulate points quickly. Just click the picture to join if you're not a member.

I normally use my Swagbucks to purchase Amazon gift cards (450 points earns $5). 700 points will earn $5 Paypal. A friend of mine did all her Christmas shopping last year using money/gift cards earned from Swagbucks! I replaced Google with Swagbucks and I'm able to cash in for several $5 gift cards per month. In the last few months I've cashed out over $100 in Amazon gift cards just from using their search engine, taking a few surveys and entering some of the Swagcodes they occasionally post on their blog/site.

If you have any questions about Swagbucks, just post them here or shoot me an e-mail.

Transformers $5/1 Coupon

You can go to the Transformers Facebook page to print a $5/1 coupon for Dark of the Moon toys. According to the coupon, you must spend $5.99 or more. This one does expire on Halloween, so you don't have a lot of time to use it.

Target sells these toys for $7.99, so they'd make a nice stocking stuffer or donation item.

Also don't forget the rebate form here if you purchase $20 worth. It's not a cash rebate but it's for a prize pack of Transformers stuff. The last day to make a purchase is today, 10-20.

Thanks, My Frugal Adventures

Restaurant Coupons

Pizza Hut: Sign up for their e-mails and receive either free cinnamon sticks or bread sticks. This expires 11-1.

Smokey Bones: $10 off $20. This expires 10-23.

Boston Market: $2 off $10. This expires 11-6.

Febreze Rebate From Walmart

Last week a friend and I found these Febreze bowls at Walmart last week. They're $9.98. Inside is a rebate for a free 1 year subscription to a magazine or a $12 cash rebate. The rebate form inside doesn't indicate anything about the $12 rebate but the website the form links you to does mention this. I've sent away for similar rebates in the past. They do come quickly but you must return the form in 30 days or they'll deny the rebate.

As far as coupons, you can use the $1/1 Febreze product inside a recent issue of Parade magazine (I don't remember exactly which). There are also $1/1 Febreze Air Effects coupons around as well.

The sets contain: a plastic bowl, Febreze Air Effects, Febreze Set & Refresh, Puffs and a Febreze candle. You could split these up to include in gift baskets or even use them yourself. :)

My Coke Rewards: Entertainment Weekly Subscription 167 Points Today Only

Every now and then My Coke Rewards offers a hot reward at a discount. Today's is Entertainment Weekly for 1 year for just 167 points. This is a great magazine and would make a really nice gift for someone.

They only offer a limited amount of these rewards so you may want to grab one if you're interested.

Thanks, Stacey
