$5 Off $25 At Payless

Through July 4th you can get $5 off your $25 purchase online or in-store at Payless Shoes. I didn't used to shop there much but lately they've actually had some cute styles that are not 'pleather' (I'm picky about that).

Thanks Alison!

Old Navy Sale

Through July 4th Old Navy is having a buy 2, get one free sale. This excludes jewelry and online sales. You can get all the scoop on their Facebook page.

Thanks For the Mommas

$1/2 Wheat Thins & $2/1 King's Hawaiian

You can print a $1/2 Wheat Thins coupon here. You can use these on the smaller size boxes because there isn't a size restriction.

There is also a $2/1 King's Hawaiian (the bread, not the dinner rolls or buns) bread coupon here for registering for their newsletter. Remember that you can always cancel the newsletter once you receive the coupon. The coupon is e-mailed to you and it took a few weeks till I got my coupon.

Thanks Who Said Nothing In Life Is Free for the Wheat Thins info

A Couple Kroger Deals

Ok...before I post these I want to clarify that I have not tested either of these locally. I've read about them elsewhere and completely forgot to double-check when I went to Kroger today.

Reportedly the following things are on sale:

Minute Maid frozen lemonade $1
Use: $.50/1 from 6-26 RP
Final: FREE

3 Musketeers candy bars $.50
Use: $.50/2 from 6-26 RP
Final: 2 FREE

Our prices tend to be a little higher so it's possible these are higher priced than what I've seen online elsewhere.

Thanks Sandy and Darr!

25 More Recyclebank Points

If you belong to Recyclebank you can get 25 more points by pleding to recycle your Kashi cereal boxes. In order to find the pledge, click on 'Earn Points' at the top left of the page. Then look for 'the life cycle of a cereal box'. Once you click on the video you can watch (or skip, like I did) a quick quiz will come up. After you take the quiz you'll be rewarded with 25 points.

Recyclebank is a free program that rewards members for living a greener life. Some areas participate in the curbside Recyclebank program (my community does not) but codes and links to quizzes that will earn you points are frequently posted on blogs, including this blog.

ACE Hardware 4th Of July Rebates

In some areas Ace Hardware has a special 4th of July ad that goes from July 1st through 4th. There are some good deals but the best ones are two freebies after rebate. Remember that you'll pay up front for the items and then you'll get the prince you paid back by mail.

Afterbite insect bite relief FREE after $2.99 rebate (limit 2)

Jobe's Plant Fertilizer Spikes FREE after $1.19 (limit 2)

There are also several items that are $.99 after rebate too so be sure to check those out.

The easiest way to get your rebate is to use your Ace Helpful Hardware club card when you buy the items and then submit the rebates online. If you don't have a card (they're free) you can get one at your local store.

Before you buy the items you'll want to make sure your store is participating in this sale. Sales do vary widely by location and some rebate items aren't available at every location.

No $1 Doubles This Week

I had a feeling this was coming, but I just wanted to confirm it for the rest of you. Looking at the new ad online for Giant Eagle there are no $1 doubles. This is significant because in the past we've had $1 doubles the first week of the month. This has been the pattern since they stopped doubling $1 coupons all the time. The employees at the store I shop at frequently have told me this was coming so it wasn't a surprise. :(

Rite Aid Store Coupons

Rite Aid currently has two beauty coupons on Facebook. One is for $2 off $5 worth of NYC cosmetics. The other one is $1 off a Pure Spring item priced $9.99 or higher. These expire 7-8 and can only be printed once per computer. Remember also there is a $5 off $10 purchase of NYC from the June issue of All You (expires 6-30).

Thanks Joyce!

Extreme Couponing Article From Yahoo

Free Can Alpo Dog Food

This offer has been available before but it's available again. You can get a free can of Alpo dog food from Walmart. The easiest way to find it is to go up below the Purina Pet Park banner and click the 5th bubble to go directly to the free sample link.

My dog passed away last year but I always request these when they're available because they're great for rescue organizations or the humane society.

Thanks Coupon Pro!

Ben Gay $5/1 Printable--GONE!

Ben Gay has a new printable coupon for their new product called Cold Therapy. This is a new product so we'll definitely see sales on this coming up. Some regions' have Ben Gay on sale at Rite Aid this week but we do not have this in our ad here in Toledo.

I did personally confirm today that this is printing. My kids were happy with free Pringles! :)

$10 Off At Buca di Beppo

Buca di Beppo is one of the few chain restaurants I really like and unfortunately we don't have one here in Toledo. However, if you do have them you can 'like' them on Facebook. Starting June 27th they'll be sending $10 savings certificates to those who 'like' them. No one seems to know if there is a fine print about minimum purchase or other restrictions. It's worth a shot if you like to eat there, though!

Free Trash Bags From Vocalpoint

If you're a member of Vocalpoint hustle on over here to see if you qualify for a free sample of Glad trash bags with Febreze odor shield. This is not available to everyone so you may or may not be able to get this. I was qualified to get it so I'll be checking my mailbox!

Twix Instant Win Game

Twix has a new instant win game on their site. This goes through December 30th. You need a code to play but you can generate a free one by clicking 'don't have a code'. I did win a candy bar from this game so at least it's something!

Thanks Angela A.

10 More Pampers Points

This code is only available through 11:59 EST tonight. If you enter code TWITTERSPLASHER in your Gifts To Grow account you'll be credited with 10 more points. Their site has had some outages today so if you get an error check back in a bit. I waited to post this because I was having trouble getting the code to work as well.

New Restaurant.com Promo

Restaurant.com has a new promo through June 30th. You can get 80% off dining certificates using code SUMMER at checkout.

I use restaurant.com pretty often. It's a great way to save money when dining out. Just be sure to read all the fine print before making a purchase. Some certificates have date restrictions or minimum purchase requirements that you'll want to be aware of. These certificates are great if you're responsible for paying for a large group to go out for the evening!

Printables From My Inbox

Here are some new coupons from my inbox:

$1/1 Bagel Bites (must take 'snack simply' pledge)

Dove hair care and body wash coupons

$1/1 Pilot b2p pen

I will be doing another printables post this weekend with some newer coupons from other sources. It's been a fairly slow week, though. I think I've printed 1 coupon all week.

What Can We Do This Weekend?

Toys R Us is having an Alex's Lemonade Stand event. It's to encourage kids to support this great organization. They'll also be giving out samples of Honest Kids berry lemonade. This is from noon to 3 PM.

Lowe's  has a waving flag craft. This is from 10 AM to 11 AM. Kids will receive an apron, goggles, a pin and a certificate of completion. Advance registration is not required but is recommended.

Babies R Us has a Tommee Tippee event from noon to 3 PM. It looks like this is just an advertising opportunity for this company. I don't see any advertised freebies or anything cool.

Disney Store has a Cars 2 event from 11 AM to 1 PM. This is for ages 3+.

Bass Pro Shops have a summer camp event each weekend. There are several things to do. You can check the schedule for your local store at the link I posted.

Michaels has an Egyptian hieroglyphics making event from 11 AM to noon. This is for ages 3+.

Walmart has an event finder on their website so you can check out what's happening in your local area.

Borders also has an event finder on their website, as does Barnes & Noble.

Anyone have anything I missed?

Removing Facebook Apps

You may be wondering what in the world this post has to do with saving money. It doesn't have anything to do with it per se, but it does involve a question I'm asked a lot! People frequently want to know how to get rid of those Facebook apps you have to install in order to print some coupons. There's no harm in leaving them installed after you print except that then your friends can see that you 'like' Miracle Whip or K-Y jelly or some other weird thing. Ha ha! I love printing coupons but I hate having weird advertising things from companies I 'like' posted on my page. Anyway, to remove the apps and cut down on page clutter:

1) Click on 'my account' at the top right hand corner of the page when you're logged in to your FB account.
2) Click 'privacy settings'
3) Go down to 'apps and websites' at the bottom left of the page
4) Click 'edit your settings'
5) Click on 'edit settings' off to the right of the heading titled 'apps you use'
6) When you find the app you want to remove, click the 'X' to the right of the app's name. It will then ask you if you want to remove the app or cancel the removal
7) Click 'remove', but just remember you won't have access to it now unless you re-install

If you don't wish to un-install but don't want the company posting on your wall anymore, just go to a post of theirs on your wall and move your mouse around to the right. An 'x' should appear. Click on it and you can select an option to not allow them to post on your wall any longer.

This is another week I'm skipping Giant Eagle so if you see any fabulous deals I've missed please let me know. I don't shop a lot at GE during the summer because their sales just aren't that great during this time of year.

No More Rack $10 Credit

No More Rack is another daily deal site (is it just me or are there 1,000 of them now?). Each day at 12 PM EST they offer 8 deals that are only available for a short time. Most of them are sold out before the deals expire so it really is best to be there right away when the new sales start. Flat rate shipping is $2 per item which is a much better deal than other sites!

Currently they're offering a $10 credit for new members. All you have to do is go here and register. A box should pop up with the $10 offer when you get to their site.

New CouponNetwork Printables

There have been several new coupons on CouponNetwork in the last few days.

$1.25/2 Marie's Dressing
$10/1 Philips Bikini Perfect trimmer
$.50/8 cups of Yoplait yogurt
$1/2 Kellogg's All Bran
$.50/1 Dole coleslaw kit
$5/1 Flexamin
$1/2 Dean's dips
$5/1 Norelco shaving replacement heads
$3/1 Avent multi-pack bottles
$1/2 Senseo coffee pods
$2/1 Osteo Bi Flex

Important note: Don't bother printing anything that says "future savings" or "save up to $x". These aren't actual coupons. Instead they're advertisements for upcoming and current Catalina offers. I really don't like that they do this because it's somewhat misleading!

Watch Those Video Values

Just a quick reminder that the June Video Values for Rite Aid are only available through June 25th. However, we've had a few months where they've pulled these early so you may want to get them watched.

Remember that you don't need to print these till you intend to use them but you will need to have watched them to have access to them once they're gone.
