Removing Facebook Apps

You may be wondering what in the world this post has to do with saving money. It doesn't have anything to do with it per se, but it does involve a question I'm asked a lot! People frequently want to know how to get rid of those Facebook apps you have to install in order to print some coupons. There's no harm in leaving them installed after you print except that then your friends can see that you 'like' Miracle Whip or K-Y jelly or some other weird thing. Ha ha! I love printing coupons but I hate having weird advertising things from companies I 'like' posted on my page. Anyway, to remove the apps and cut down on page clutter:

1) Click on 'my account' at the top right hand corner of the page when you're logged in to your FB account.
2) Click 'privacy settings'
3) Go down to 'apps and websites' at the bottom left of the page
4) Click 'edit your settings'
5) Click on 'edit settings' off to the right of the heading titled 'apps you use'
6) When you find the app you want to remove, click the 'X' to the right of the app's name. It will then ask you if you want to remove the app or cancel the removal
7) Click 'remove', but just remember you won't have access to it now unless you re-install

If you don't wish to un-install but don't want the company posting on your wall anymore, just go to a post of theirs on your wall and move your mouse around to the right. An 'x' should appear. Click on it and you can select an option to not allow them to post on your wall any longer.
