I just wanted to let you know that this will be my last post here on Super Saver Sarah. When I began this blog two years ago I had two tiny babies and a preschooler. I had lots of downtime while the babies slept and the preschooler was at school.
However, almost two years later I now have two busy and active 2 year olds and a 1st grader. I believe in doing everything 100% and unfortunately I'm not able to do that with this blog right now. My kids are literally growing before my eyes and I often feel torn when I'm busy with them because I should be working here. Deal-seeking is a great hobby, but my life is really with my children and my husband.
With that being said, I've enjoyed doing this the last two years and I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for reading.

BzzAgent Jim Beam Campaign (Men)
If you know a man between the ages of 21-39 you may want to pass this along. BzzAgent is a try & tell program similar to Vocalpoint or Kraft First Taste. You try a product and then give them your opinion.
Currently they're looking for men to try Jim Beam (excluding the states AR, HI, IN, MS, TX, and UT).
You'll need to register for an account with BzzAgent, and not everyone will qualify for every campaign. However, if you do qualify they'll send you some very nice freebies and coupons.

Tomorrow
It's late and I'm tired! We're taking the kiddos and a friend to the Butterfly House tomorrow to use up a Groupon. I'll be back in the afternoon and will get some drugstore deals posted then. :)

Call For Volunteers: Chemo Angels
As couponers, we get lots of things free that are greater quantities than our families need. A terrific organization that can use those items is Chemo Angels. I've been an angel with them for about 1 year and it makes your heart feel super good!
I just got an e-mail that they are low on volunteers and are putting out a call for new ones.
Remember this is a commitment for the length of your patient's chemo treatment. You're required to send something to your patient each week. Things I've sent in the past include candy, tea, nail polish/manicure supplies, body wash/lotion, body splashes, pet treats for my patient who is a dog owner, fancy soaps, snacks, etc. Most of the things I send to my patient are things I've gotten as freebies from my coupon adventures. Chemo Angels has each patient fill out a data sheet so that you can have a starting point for what they like and don't like.
You will have to pay to ship the items but I use a lot of flat rate boxes to keep the cost low.
Here's how it works...
1) You register with Chemo Angels. It will take a few weeks to get a chemo patient, so hang tight. :) This organiztion
2) Once you get a patient you will need to begin sending them things once a week. I typically send a small note and a small gift, with larger packages every few weeks.
3) You'll keep this up till the patient's chemo is over. The patient has no obligation during this, so you may never hear anything from your patient. I've been fortunate enough that I have heard from both assignments I've had.

Getting It Together...
I'll be getting some drugstore matchups together today but it's been a busy weekend! Our twins turned 2 late last week and we celebrated their birthday party this past weekend. Also, our oldest starts school today so there was lots to do there as well.
The little guys have their 2 year checkup today and my oldest only has a 1/2 day of school. When I get back I'll get some deals posted. :)

My Points
I've posted about this site in the past but thought I'd mention it again.
MyPoints is another reward site. I've used them for a few years and have earned quite a few gift cards. You can earn points by sharing the daily deals (I just send them to myself via my 'junk' mail address), taking surveys, signing up for newsletters, shopping online, taking BzzAgent surveys, plat games, etc. Sometimes they have slot-machine type games where you can win poins as well. They also send e-mails occasionally that you can click through to earn points.
Just click the banner above to get started. Earning gift cards from this site requires very little work. :)

New Allergy Study
No one in my household has allergies (thank goodness) but if you do...
A leading research company is looking for people 5 to 65 years of age who suffer from seasonal allergies that are willing to participate in a clinical research study in your area (Only Certain Zipcodes Qualify). Health insurance is not required! If you qualify you may receive Free Allergy medications for 2012, free doctors visits and compensation for time and travel.
Also, I found out from my contact that some Ohio & Michigan zips are eligible. Maybe you'll qualify!

Retail Coupons And Internet Issues
I'm having major internet issues since the weekend so I'm beginning to get frustrated. My internet keeps flickering and disconnecting. It sometimes takes 5 minutes to go to a new page, and that's only after getting 3 error messages or more. Anyway, AT&T claims they're running a diagnostic but I'm losing patience! I have lots of things to post but this wonky internet is getting in my way!
Anyway, courtesy of For The Mommas here are a few new retail coupons for you:
$10 off $10 purchase at Pier One
$5 off $25 purchase at Staples

E-mail Subscription Now Working
Thanks to my friend Lisa for pointing out this was not working. I completely forgot to set it up! You can now receive e-mail updates from my blog via a subscription link. It's off to the right of the page, just below the 'about me' section.
Reportedly Blogger's e-mail updates aren't always reliable but at least you can still be subscribed if you choose.

Blog Changes
I got feedback from a few people that they didn't like the background color/font color/font. I've changed these to make them easier to read. Hopefully you'll give me more feedback on whether or not this is better or worse than before.
I also finally got my new blog background and widgets done with the help of an awesome graphic designer named Helen. If you need any blog work done, please let me know and I'll pass the info on to her. She is terrific!

Dollar General Updated Coupon Policy
I don't really shop there, but if you do...
Dollar General has updated their coupon policy.
Noteable changes:
They now specify they will not take free item coupons unless a purchase is required to get the item free. I don't really understand this. For printables I get it. However, for insert coupons I think it's weird.
They also specify they will only accept one manufacturer and one store coupon per item (pretty standard).
Also, they've clarified they won't give cash back if the selling price is lower than the coupon value, but that's always been their policy.
You can view the updated policy here.
Thanks, For The Mommas!

Extreme Couponing Article From Yahoo
I thought this article from Yahoo finance was sort of interesting. Lots of us couponers have been saying all along that this show is NOT good for couponing. Finally someone 'in the know' is confirming it as well.

Free Seattle's Best Coffee Coupon: Where To Find The Item?
There was a FREE Seattle's Best coffee single coupon in the 6-5 SS. Unfortunately we didn't get this coupon locally. There are some auctions on Ebay for these but they're not cheap. Anyway, I did get a few of these from my mom who gets different coupons in her area. I had a hard time finding these. From reports I've read online these are fairly new and are still arriving at some stores. A list of places I've seen that carries these (they're delicious if you like sweet coffee drinks, by the way):
CVS
Rite Aid (only some stores; my local ones do not have these yet)
K-Mart
Target
Places I've looked and did not see them:
Meijer
Walgreens
Hope this help you. You have till August 7th to use them so you have time to look!

Moving!
As you can all see, I'm moving. There were some things I always disliked about my previous hosting and some things that made my blog look amateurish. :) I'm moving things around and trying to improve things. Please give me feedback on your thoughts. For now all my old posts are here. Unfortunately I'm not able to move them to my new blog. They'll still be available for you to read at the link I posted.
To come visit me here in my new home you don't need to do anything. http://www.supersaversarah.com/ will still get you here.
Also, if you receive digest updates from my blog via e-mail each day you'll need to re-register with this new blog. Remember...change is good. Ha Ha!
