Kroger Deal Of The Day

Through October 25th Kroger will have their Deal of the Day again. In the past these have included lots of freebies. Unfortunately, this time it looks like it's just coupons.

All you have to do is log in to your Kroger account and then load the Deal of the Day to your shopper's card.

Thanks, Megan T.

Domino Sugar At Kroger

I saw at Kroger tonight that some varieties of brown sugar and powdered sugar are $2.42. If your store doubles you can get these for as low as $1.42. We have some insert coupons (I don't remember the insert date; sorry). This deal goes through January so it'll be good for holiday baking.

Possibly Free Chapstick At Kroger

If you're a Kroger shopper, Chapstick is currently on sale in most areas for $1. They have a new flavor, green apple. On some packages of this flavor there is a $.50/1 peelie coupon. If you can find these and your store doubles, you'll get free Chapstick.

Kroger: Possibly Free Schick Razors

If you were able to print the $5/1 Schick Quattro for Women coupons yesterday (they're gone now), you can maybe get a freebie at Kroger.

Apparently the Quattro for women is on sale for $5. After the coupon they'll be free.

I read this on Hot Coupon World where members are from different parts of the country. Our prices tend to be higher so I haven't personally confirmed this in our area.

Free Brut Deodorant At Kroger + A Note

Kroger currently has Brut stick deodorant and deodorant/anti-perspirant on sale for $1. There is a $.50/1 coupon here which will allow you to get these for free. Unfortunately I forgot to note the end date on this sale while I was at the store.

Also, as a side note, I got some interesting info at my favorite Kroger (Suder Ave.). They used to allow unlimited coupon usage per customer. Apparently as of the last few weeks, they're now only accepting 3 of the same coupon per person per day. I was told this was because corporate is cracking down on 'extreme couponers'. Interesting considering that almost every episode of Extreme Couponing is filmed at a Kroger or a Kroger affiliate...

New Kroger Instant Win Game

Kroger has a new instant win game on their website. You can win $1-$4 off your next shopping order. You do need to load 4 e-coupons in order to play. I recommend either removing the loaded coupons after playing or loading something you know you won't use a paper coupon on since Kroger no longer allows stacking.

Each person can win this game twice and this ends September 10th

$1/1 Van's Waffles Coupon

Rumor has it Kroger will be having Van's waffles on sale next week. You can print a $1/1 coupon here for these. I've tried these in the past and they're pretty good (coming from someone who isn't a fan of traditional breakfast foods).

Free Ivory Soap Or Body Wash At Kroger

This week you can get free Ivory soap 2-packs or body wash at Kroger. They're on sale for $1 and there was a $.50/1 in the 7-3 P&G insert.

Even if you don't use this particular brand it makes a terrific donation item. I'll be picking some up for my favorite charity.

Since this is pictured in the ad be sure to get a raincheck if the item is sold out.

$1/1 Honest Tea Coupon--Better Than Free At Kroger

This is courtesy of my very awesome friend Stephanie over at Katy Couponers.

Honest Tea is sponsoring a "How honest are you?" promo. You will need to vote whether or not you'd pay for an Honest Tea in an unmanned store where a sign directed you to leave $1 in a basket. Once you vote you'll be redirected to their Facebook page where you can print $1/1 twice.

This is currently on sale at Kroger as part of their Mega sale promotion. When you buy 10 participating items (mix and match) you'll instantly receive $5 off your order. This makes Honest Tea free + overage! Even if you're not a tea fan they have fruit punch and some other varieties to choose from.

The coupon is only available to print till the 22nd (or until supplies are gone) and it expires 7-31 so there isn't a lot of time to use it.

A Couple Kroger Deals

Ok...before I post these I want to clarify that I have not tested either of these locally. I've read about them elsewhere and completely forgot to double-check when I went to Kroger today.

Reportedly the following things are on sale:

Minute Maid frozen lemonade $1
Use: $.50/1 from 6-26 RP
Final: FREE

3 Musketeers candy bars $.50
Use: $.50/2 from 6-26 RP
Final: 2 FREE

Our prices tend to be a little higher so it's possible these are higher priced than what I've seen online elsewhere.

Thanks Sandy and Darr!

Great John Frieda Deal At Kroger

Unfortunately I don't have an end date or prices for this, but you'll get the idea! Currently either a $2/1 or $5/1 John Frieda product Catalina is printing after you buy John Frieda items. If you have the $5/1 treatment or $2/1 shampoo/conditioner John Frieda coupons from 6-5 SS you can get very cheap products in the first place with even cheaper ones in the next transaction! With these kinds of deals it's best to split up Catalina-producing items into multiple transactions because it'll only print one per order.  I'll be checking this out soon myself because John Frieda is the only product I'm brand loyal to. I'll post back with my results!
